Road Runner
Atari, 1986, 1-2 players, System 1 class daughterboard
The Atari System 1 class hardware brought stereo sound, a speech chip, and a Motorola 68010 processor to the arcade. Atari split their development teams into two units, the System 1 was the fruit of one of the units. Road Runner is fun game, the goal is to elude Wiley Coyote, eat the seed, drink lemonade, and avoid things like falling objects and mines. It uses a Hall effect joystick and 1 button. I have a few shots of the control panel, header and machine, but no screen shots yet. The ones I took this afternoon had a bad reflection / glare, so I'll try again in the next few weeks.

The Marble Madness machine is my brothers, which is now out of my garage and in his apartment. Still waiting on a power supply assembly from Bob Roberts, should be here in the next week or so along with trackball rebuild kits.

The control panel features Wiley Coyote trying to lure Road Runner into eating buckshot with the seed, then he can use the magnet to pull Road Runner into his clutches. Nice graphics on this control panel, very bright and colorful. There are a few cigarette burns on this cp and a missing carriage bolt, but it still looks nice.
